Paul T. Slater

Mr. Paul T. Slater, age 60, of Deford, passed away after a short illness, Fri., Oct. 15, 2021 at Ascension Genesys Hospital, Grand Blanc. 

He was born April 4, 1961, in Cass City, son of the late Alvin and Mabel (Simmons) Slater. Paul married Anna Marie Gray, Nov. 9, 1985 in Caro. He worked 25 years as a builder for Elkton Roofing and Siding, he was self-employed for 2 years. He then worked for Valley Enterprises. He enjoyed hunting and bowling. He was known for his boisterous laugh and being the life of the party. Most of all he loved time with his family, especially his grandchildren.

Paul is survived by his loving wife of nearly 36 years, Marie, children, Ashley Calles of Bay City and Paul (Sarah) Slater, Jr. of Ruth, grandchildren, Madison, Colton and Harper, siblings, Thomas (Shirlee) Slater of Shabbona, Rick (Dawn) Slater of Deford, Joe (Char) Slater of Waterford and Deborah (the late Donald) Spencer of Caro.

Visitation is Thurs., Oct. 21, from 1 until 8 PM at Thabet Funeral Home, 6255 Main St., Cass City and on Fri., Oct. 22, at Mizpah Missionary Church, 4631 Van Dyke Rd, Cass City from 10 until an 11 AM service.

Memorials, in honor of Paul, may be given to his family.
