Mr. Richard "Rip" P. McClorey, age 78, of Cass City, passed away on Mon., Feb. 18, 2008 at his residence.
Rip was born Jan. 15, 1930 in Cass City the son of the late Glenn and Marion (Crawford) McClorey. On Sept. 23, 1953 he married Margaret Peddie in Cass City. She passed away June 4, 1999. He retired as a truck driver for Bliss Milk Hauling and Fred Moran Milk Hauling, and also worked at the former Sinclair Gas Station in Cass City. He was a Korean War veteran of the US Army and enjoyed gardening.
Rip is survived by his children, Daniel (Mary) McClorey of Cass City, Kenneth McClorey of Caro, Alan (Louise) McClorey, Brian (Deborah) McClorey, Robert (Debra) McClorey, Brenda McClorey, all of Cass City, Paul McClorey of Vassar, Tammy (Jon) Apley of Gagetown and Walter (Laura) McClorey of Sandusky, 8 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren, two sisters, Mary (Dale) Damm and Beverly (George) Frank, both of Cass City. He was predeceased by two brothers, Fred and Larry McClorey.
Honoring Rip's wishes, cremation has taken place. A memorial service will be held May 10, 2008 at 1 PM at Cass City VFW Post, 3644, 4533 Veteran's Dr., Cass City.
