Ronald Apley Obituary
Mr. Ronald W. Apley, age 78, of Gagetown, passed away, Sunday, March 8, 2020 at his home.
He was born May 20, 1941 to the late Asa and Lois (Winger) Apley in Bad Axe. Ronald married
Cheryl Ann Hodder November 11, 1967 in Sebewaing. He retired from General Cable and enjoyed
watching football, fishing camping deer hunting and riding with the Bad Axe Police and Huron County
Central Ambulance in his younger days.
He is survived by his loving wife of 52 years, Cheryl, children, Roger Apley of Bay City, Ronda (Rick)
Oswald of Minden City, Jon (Tammy) Apley of Gagetown and Cheri Thorp of Caro, grandchildren, Richard,
Sabrina, Randi, Timothy, Aaron, Rochelle, Molli and Nathaniel, 6 great grandchildren, and a sister, Betty
Furness of Bad Axe.
Honoring Ronald’s wishes, cremation has taken place. The memorial
service will be at Ellington Church of the Nazarene, 2545 Lazelle Rd., Caro on Saturday, June 27, 2020. Family and friends
may start gathering at 11 AM. At 1 PM a memorial service will begin with Pastor David Boulton officiating.
