Mrs. Ruth Pearl Windy, age 75, of Cass City, passed away on Tuesday, October 24, 2006 at her home.
Ruth was born July 9, 1931 in Cass City, the daughter of the late John and Gladys (Scribner) Bliss. On April 21, 1956 she married Joseph Windy in St. Pancratius Catholic Church, Cass City. She was a homemaker, a member of St. Pancratius Women's Council, and a good and loving wife and mother.
Ruth is survived by her husband of 50 years, Joseph, children, Joseph (Lynne) Windy of Snover, Mary (Richard) Doerr of Cass City, Ruth (Michael) Langlois of Gagetown, Paul (Tonnette) Windy of Hancock and James Windy of Cass City, 8 grandchildren, 5 great grandchildren, a brother Wayne (April) Bliss and a sister, Ruby Hartsell. She was predeceased by an infant daughter, Helen.
Visiting is Thursday, October 26, 2006 from 3 until 9 PM at Thabet Funeral Home, 6255 Main St., Cass City with a Vigil Service at 7 PM. She will lay in state Friday, October 27, 2006 from 10 until an 11 AM Mass at St. Pancratius Catholic Church, 4292 S. Seeger, Cass City, with Rev. Fr. Steve Fillion as celebrant. Burial will be in Elkland Township Cemetery. Memorials may be made to the charity of the donor's choice.
