Shirley Griffen Obituary
Mrs. Shirley A. Griffen, age 70, of Deford, passed away Saturday, February 11, 2012, at Hills and Dales General Hospital, Cass City after a long illness.
She was born June 22, 1941 in Cass City, the daughter of the late Louis and Lucille (McLellen) Wright. On June 27, 1959 she married Albert D. Griffen in Cass City. Shirley enjoyed doing crafts and being a home maker, especially being with her family.
She is survived by her loving husband of 52 years, Albert, a son, Morley A. Griffen of TN, a sister, Lois Jean Bliss of Cass City, and many nieces, nephews and cousins. Shirley was predeceased by her son, Laurel Griffen and a brother, Dennis Wright.
Visitation is Wednesday, February 15, 2012 from 2:00 to 4:00 PM at Thabet Funeral Home, 6255 Main St., Cass City. Honoring Shirley's wishes cremation has taken place, burial will be in the Elkland Township Cemetery, Saturday, April 28, 2012 at 2 pm.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Family Discretionary Fund.
