Shirley McComb Obituary
Mrs. Shirley M. McComb, age 89, of Cass City, passed away Wed., March 20, 2013, at Tuscola County Medical Care Facility, Caro after a long illness.
She was born Oct. 3, 1923 in Pigeon, the daughter of the late Victor and Ida (Fisher) Hoppe. She married Frank McComb on Oct. 3, 1947 in Cass City. He passed away Jan. 2, 1991. Shirley was a homemaker, a lifetime area resident, member of Good Shepherd Lutheran Church and the Cass City VFW auxiliary.
Shirley is survived by her sons, Timothy (Gina) McComb of NV and Thomas McComb of TN, three grandchildren, Carol Ann, Megan and Lauren, and a sister, Joyce (the late Jim) Bannick of Elkton. In addition to her parents and husband, she was predeceased by a brother, Loren.
Visitation is Sun., March 24, from 3 until 8 PM at Thabet Funeral Home, 6255 Main St., Cass City and on Mon., March 25, from 10 until an 11 AM service at Good Shepherd Lutheran Church, 6820 Main St., Cass City. Pastor Steve Bagnall officiating.
Burial will be at later date in Elkland Township Cemetery.
