Sue Werschky Obituary

Sue Stafford (Greenleaf) Werschky, age 78, of Cass City, passed away on Friday, January 8, 2026 at Tuscola County Medical Facility, Caro. 

Sue was born August 16, 1947 in Cass City, daughter of the late Edward and Neva (Stafford) Greenleaf. Sue and Neva started Toys for Tots in Cass City in the 1990s, working out of their basement for some years, eventually using halls when it got bigger. Sue was also involved in Big Brothers/Big Sisters. She sponsored several girls. Sue also worked as a Certified Nurse’s Assistant for many years. Sue loved animals and owned several dogs over the years, the last one being Terra.

Sue was very close with her cousin, Don Greenleaf, he passed away December 23, 2022. Sue will always be remembered as a kind and loving person.

Visitation will be Thursday, January 15, 2026 at Thabet Funeral Home, 6255 Main St., Cass City from 2 until 4 PM, with a funeral service at 3:30 PM. Dale Bullock officiating. Burial will be in the spring in Elkland Township Cemetery.
