Thomas Richards Obituary
Mr. Thomas L. Richards, age 57, of Owendale and Rogers City, passed away after a 3 year battle with cancer, Sat., Jan. 4, 2014 at St. Marys of Michigan, Saginaw.
He was born June 30, 1956 in Rogers City, son of the late Ernest and Violet (Metko) Richards. On Dec. 24, 1976 he married Michelle Schultz in Rogers City. When he was younger he worked in the family logging business, he was a licensed mechanic and worked on cars, doing transmission work, raced cars at Silver Bullet (Owendale) Speedway, he worked as a military contractor in the middle east since 2003, and loved anything outdoors, especially hunting and fishing.
Tom is survived by his wife, Michelle, sons, Timothy (Monica) Richards of Lake Ann and Ryan (Colleen) Richards of Bay City, 2 grandchildren, Emily and Samuel Richards of Lake Ann. He was predeceased by a sister, Betty Preba.
Honoring his wishes cremation has taken place. A celebration of life will be held Sat., Jan. 11, 2014 at 1 PM at the Alice Township Hall, 20018 638 Hwy., Onaway, MI. Memorial visitation will begin at the township hall at 12 Noon.
