Mr. Timothy Lee "Hotrod, Slim" Russell, age 53, of Owendale, passed away Friday, August 8, 2008 at his residence.
Hotrod, Slim was born March 6, 1955 in Lapeer, he was the son of the late Ralph and Mary (Bettes) Russell. He worked as a mechanic for Vollmer Ready Mix, and enjoyed fishing and hunting and spending time with family and friends, he also served in the U.S. Army Reserve.
Hotrod, Slim is survived by his children, Timothy Russell, Jr. of Elkton, Wendy Witzke of Sebewaing, Penny Reese of Bad Axe, Kristina Koglin of Port Hope, 5 grandchildren, brothers and sisters, John (Denice) Russell of Owendale, James (Sandra) Russell of Cass City, Donald (Shannon) Russell of Gagetown, Michael Russell of Owendale, Mark (Michelle) Russell of Marlette, Kathy (Randy) Dohring of Wolverine, Frances (Rick) Pangburn of Sandusky, Christine (Richard) Hubbard of Houghton Lake and Karen Johnson of Cass City and many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by a son, Dustin Reese.
Visiting is Wednesday, August 13, 2008 at 9 AM until a 12 noon service at Thabet Funeral Home, 6255 Main St., Cass City. Pastor William Wright of Trinity United Methodist Church will officiate. Memorials may be made to the Family Discretionary Fund.
