TOMAS FREDRICK SCHULTZ 1942 - 2018
Tomas Fredrick Schultz, age 76, of Cass City, formerly of Missouri, passed away after a long battle with Alzheimer’s Disease at his home. Tom was born October 22 1942 in Long Beach, California to the late Fredrick Tomas and Jacqueline S. (Hollowood) Schultz.
Tom married Carletta Joan Hankins in Sacramento, California on February 16, 1963. Together they had 4 children, Sherry Day and husband Phillip, Tomas Fredrick II (deceased), Tomas Carl, and Delois Wilson and husband Eugene.
He proudly served in the US Navy from 1960 to 1969. He was a Journeyman Electrician on the USS Klondike AD-22 and USS Samuel Gompers AD-37. After 9 years of service he was Honorably medically discharged. Tom was a lifetime member of the DAV in Missouri.
Tom and Carlie spent their early years in California, then moved to Missouri in 1979, While in Missouri he worked as an Electrician, Warehouse Supervisor for VF Factory Outlet. Tom and Carlie also had founded Tee Cee Tackle which made hand-tied fishing lures, based on his love for fishing. In 2016, they moved to Cass City, Michigan.
Tom is survived by his loving wife of 55 years, Carlie, 3 children, Sherry, Tomas Carl, and Delois; 9 Grandchildren, T.J., Christopher, Justin, Kyndra, Savannah, Christian Eaves, Leeza, Eugene Marcel II, and Montana; and 4 Great Grandchildren, Jackie, Josey, Leela, and Jace. He is survived by one brother, Jim Schultz and wife Deva of West Sacramento CA. He is also survived by a brother-in-law, Steve Kincannon and two sisters-in-law, Cindy Hatch and Mary Santos. He was preceded in death by his parents and his sister, Charlene.
Donations can be made in his name to the Alzheimer Association or Disabled American Veterans.
There will be a Memorial Service with Military Honors by members of the U. S. Navy and Cass City VFW Post 3644, December 12, 2018 at 3:30 PM at the Cass City VFW Hall. Following the service there will be a dinner at the hall.
