Vera A. Nicol

Mrs. Vera A. Nicol, age 86, of Cass City (Greenleaf Twp.),
passed away, Fri., Sept. 2, 2016 at Northwood Meadows,
Cass City.

Vera was born April 13, 1930 in Flint, daughter of Robert
and Elta (McHugh) Dobson. She married Stuart Nicol in Ubly
on Nov. 27, 1948. He passed away Sept. 4, 2014. Vera was a
member of Cass City United Methodist Church, taught Sunday
School, was a Greenleaf Twp. Trustee for many years, book
keeper for Nicol and Sons, a 4H leader, enjoyed baking cakes, sewing, craft projects for the church bazaar, genealogy, and
time with her grandkids.

Vera is survived by her sons, John (Gayle) Nicol and Jerry
(Karen) Nicol, both of Cass City, grandchildren, Jason, Joel, Jessica, Elise, Ethan, Nicholas and Kyle, great grandchildren, Graham, Blaine, Justin and Jenna, and a brother, Wendall (the late Roberta) Dobson of FL. She was predeceased by a baby daughter, Frances Arlene, a son, Michael Nicol, and 4 brothers
and sisters.

Visitation is Wed., Sept. 7, 2016 at Cass City
United Methodist Church, 5100 N. Cemetery, Cass City, from
10 AM until a 1 PM service. Pastor Jackie Roe officiating.
Burial will be in Elkland Twp. Cemetery, Cass City.

Memorials may be made to the Cass City United Methodist
Church, Northwood Meadows, or Compassus Hospice.
