Mrs. Virginia Lee Greenlee, age 87, of Deckerville, formerly of Argyle, passed away Wednesday, October 24, 2007 at her residence.
Virginia was born June 4, 1920 in Greenleaf Township, the daughter of the late Earl and Pearl (Agar) Hartwick. She married Elgin Greenlee March 31, 1942 in Ohio, he passed away July 23, 1970. Virginia was Postmaster in Argyle for 20 years, retiring in 1990, she was a member of Argyle United Methodist Church, where she served as church organist and Sunday school teacher for many years, was a member of O.E.S., Kendron Chapter #33, and enjoyed knitting, word search puzzles, reading, playing the piano and spending time with her
grandchildren.
Virginia is survived by her daughter, Joanne (Karl) Buhl of Deckerville, four grandchildren, Jenny (Sean) Buhl Hagey, LeAnn (Michael) Hertzberg, Kari Jo (Steven) Shephard and Sheri (Daniel) Gullion, 8 great grandchildren. She was predeceased by a daughter, Elgene (Jim) Foster and two brothers, Kenneth and Kermit Hartwick.
Visiting is Thursday, October 25, 2007 from 2 until 5 and 7 until 9 PM and on Friday, October 26, 2007 from noon until a 1 PM service at Thabet Funeral Home, 6255 Main St., Cass City. Pastor Julianne Princinsky of 1st Presbyterian Church, Deckerville officiating. Burial will be in Elkland Township Cemetery. Memorials may be made to Juvenile Diabetes Association or Multiple Sclerosis Society.
