Mr. Wayne Dean Connolly, age 55, of Deford, passed away after a short illness, Wed., Dec. 1, 2021, at Henry Ford West Bloomfield Hospital, West Bloomfield Township.
He was born Aug. 5, 1966, in Cass City, son of the late James and Violet (Pratt) Connolly. Wayne married Donna Little, Aug. 6, 1983, in Cass City. He worked as a truck driver for Bartnik Service and at J & D Equipment. He also worked at his father’s sawmill, Connolly Sawmill and at Satchell’s Dairy Farm. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, basically, anything outdoors. But most of all he loved spending time with his family.
Wayne is survived by his loving wife of over 38 years, Donna, children, Deana (William) Dhooghe of North Branch, Erica (Brandon) Woolner of Deford and Wayne Joseph Connolly (Fiance – Ashley Balon) of Deford, grandchildren, Justin, Coltin, Liam, Braydon, Peyton, Autumn and Abigail and his mother, Violet Connolly. In addition to his father, he was also predeceased by his brothers, Walter Connolly and Wesley Connolly.
Honoring Wayne’s wishes, cremation has taken place and a memorial service is being held, Fri., Dec. 17, 2021 at 11 AM at Novesta Church of Christ, 2896 Cemetery Rd, Cass City. Brad Speirs will officiate. Family and friends may start gathering at 10 AM.
