Wilfred Howard Fritz

Mr. Wilfred Howard Fritz, age 68, of Deford, passed away Thursday, April 1, 2021 at his home with his family by his side after a long illness. 

He was born September 25, 1952, in Bad Axe, the son of the late Wilfred and Dorothy (Powell) Fritz. Wilfred worked in maintenance for Genesee Cut Stone in Grand Blanc. He enjoyed riding his motorcycle, going to casinos, hunting, fishing bird watching and gardening. Most of all he loved spending time with his grandchildren and great grandchildren.

Wilfred is survived by his children, Cannon (April) Fritz of Deford, Connie (Andrew) Aitkens of Flint and Corey (Melissa) Fritz of Burton, grandchildren, Emily, Allison and Alex Fritz, Brittany (Kevin) Detrick and Haley Gallagher, great grandchildren, Isaiah, Nolan, Jensen and Kingston, friend and mother of his children, Nancy Fritz, special friend and companion, Judy Cole, siblings, Marvin Fritz, Duane (Cheryl) Fritz, Christopher Fritz, Connie Cariveau, Helen (Jim) Jaworski and Wanda (Jack) Ballard and many loving nieces, nephews and longtime friends. In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by his step-mother, Dorothy Fritz and a sister, Carol “Jean” Dondineau.

Honoring Wilfred’s wishes, cremation has taken place and a memorial service will be held at a later date.
