Winifred Lamb Obituary
Mrs. Winifred I. Lamb, age 92, of Cass City, formerly of Tawas City, passed away Mon., May 4, 2009 at Covenant Healthcare - Cooper, Saginaw after a short illness.
She was born Feb. 18, 1917 in Flushing, daughter of the late Charles and Florence (Bump) Luce. Winifred married Donald A Lamb, Jan. 25, 1940 in Flushing. He passed away in July 2002. She was a homemaker and enjoyed time with her family, her love of nature, especially birds, and the family pet, Libby. She was a member of the O.E.S. in Tawas, the Tawas Garden Club and the United Methodist Church.
Left to cherish her memory are her children, David C. (Fiance Janet Jones) Lamb of Ypsilanti, Margaret L. (Larry) Sippy of Meadville, PA and Elizabeth "Betsy" (Rick) Dillon of Cass City, loving grandchildren, Kinta, Amy, Chuck, Tami, Jill, Josh, Greg and Jill, "Grandma Little Lamb" also adored her 8 great grandchildren. She was predeceased by her brother and 3 sisters.
Cremation has taken place. A memorial service will be held Sat., May 9, 2009 at Cass City United Methodist Church, 5100 Cemetery Rd., Cass City at 11 AM, with visitation beginning at 10 AM. Pastor Paul Donelson will officiate.
Memorials may be made to the American Heart Association, the Tawas United Methodist Church, or the Cass City United Methodist Church.
