Yvonne "Bonnie" Marie Smith

Mrs. Yvonne “Bonnie” M. Smith, age 81, of Decker, went to be with the Lord, Mon., May 20, 2019 after an extended illness. She was born Dec. 29, 1937 to the late Ernest and Cynthia (Hill) Henry in Detroit, the youngest of 8 children. Yvonne married Lawrence Smith, April 9, 1955 at his parent's home in Evergreen Township. He passed away March 11, 1994. She loved to play cards, shop, go on trips and was active in church. Yvonne is survived by her 3 children, Rod (Theresa) Smith, Glenda (Gale) Courts and Sherrie (Al) Spencer, 8 grandchildren, Shane Ross, Ryan (Jennifer) Ross, Chris (Lindsey) Smith, Shannon (Lewis) Morden-Ziesmer, Megean Gothro, Mark Smith II, Martin Smith and Michelle (Rick) Wisenbaugh, 12 great grandchildren and 1 great, great grandchild. She was predeceased by a son, Mark A. Smith, granddaughter, Melissa Smith, sisters, Bea Kinny, Dorothy Stone, Jessie Sweet, Annabelle Buskirk, Kathleen Schultz, Loretta Linder, brothers, Eugene Henry and Junior Henry. A special thanks to Vicky, Jennifer, Tina and Pastor Peter at Seasons Change and A Change of Seasons Hospice. Visitation is Fri., May 24, 2019 from 11 AM until 1 PM, time of service, at Shabbona United Methodist Church, 4455 Decker Rd., Decker. Burial at Elkland Township Cemetery. Memorials may be given to A Change of Seasons Hospice in lieu of flowers.
